Gurpreet Dhillon is a Professor of Information Security at the School of Business, Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. He also holds an affiliate appointment at Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestao at Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. Over the years he has also held academic positions at University of Nevada Las Vegas (USA), Cranfield University School of Management (UK), City University of Hong Kong (PRC).

Ian Angell is a freelance speaker and consultant, internationally renowned as a ‘futurologist’, in particular for his views on the future of money, and on developments in Information and Communication Technologies. He was Professor of Information Systems at the London School of Economics from 1986 until his ‘retirement’ in September 2011. Prior to this he researched and taught Computer Science at Royal Holloway College, and University College London.

Dr. Jana Craft is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Human Resource Management at Winona State University in Winona, MN. She earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development with a focus on ethics from the University of Minnesota in 2013. Her research areas include human resource development, ethics, organizational culture, non-profit organizations and training. Dr. Craft has over twelve years of teaching experience in higher education. She has been published in the Journal of Business Ethics, Human Resource Development International, Middle East Journal of Management and International Journal of Hospitality Management and International Journal of Managerial Studies Research. Dr. Craft presents in both academic and practitioner realms.

Douglas Jondle, Ph.D., M.B.A. is Research Director at the Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC) at the University of St. Thomas (UST). His current research includes modeling ethical organizational culture, evaluating organizational ethical cultures multi-culturally, the development of the Ethical Perception Index, a metric for evaluating perceived organizational ethical culture, and modeling ethical risk management (a cooperative research project between CEBC, UST, the Veritas Institute and the Copenhagen Business School). He was an editor of the ethics volume of the Wiley Encyclopedia of Management (3rd ed.) and is editor/author of Ethical Business Cultures in Emerging Markets (Cambridge University Press).

Spyridon (Spiro) Samonas holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems Management from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a dissertation entitled ‘Managing Computerized Bureaucracy: Opportunities and Hazards’. He had previously earned an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems (ADMIS) with Upper Merit from LSE, as well as a BSc in Economics with Distinction from the University of Piraeus, where he ranked first amongst more than 300 fellow students. Spiro is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Information Systems at Louisiana Tech University. Prior to this appointment, he was Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Cyber-security at the Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness program in Virginia Commonwealth University. Previously, Spiro taught Business Information Technology and Services at Warwick Business School and Information Systems Management at LSE. He was also teaching faculty in LSE100. Besides a professional background in business analysis in the insurance and hospitality software industries, Spiro has acquired front-of-house management experience in the London hospitality industry.

Dr Dionysios Demetis is a Lecturer in Management Systems at the Hull University Business School. He holds a PhD on Anti-Money Laundering and Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he taught classes on Information Systems Management, IS Security and Research Methods. While at the LSE, he contributed widely to a number of research deliverables for the European Union, but most importantly to the domain of Anti-Money Laundering for the Spotlight EU project, as well as the GATE EU Project targeting Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. His research on the Risk-Based Approach to Anti-Money Laundering and the 3rd EU Directive has been featured in the IMOLIN select bibliography of the United Nations while his research on ‘Data Growth and the Consequences to Anti-Money Laundering’ has won the Emerald Highly Commended Award from the Journal of Money Laundering Control. For his teaching at the London School of Economics, he was awarded the departmental Teaching Assistant award for Outstanding Contribution based on peer review and student feedback from the Information Systems Department in 2006. During his PhD, he secured three consecutive research scholarships from the LSE.

Michael Lapke is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. He joined UMW in 2012 and is excited to be a part of the new College of Business and a dynamic institution. He previously held positions at East Carolina University, Rhode Island College, and the Florida Institute of Technology.

David L. Coss, associate professor, joined the Department of Accounting and Legal Studies. Coss, previously an assistant professor at Virginia Tech University, holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Doupnik joins us from the University of South Carolina. His degrees include a Ph.D. in accountancy and a master of science in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Romilla Syed studies information security threats to organizations and individuals. In particular, her research focuses on the content and structure of social platforms to identify the potential security threats and prescribes measures to prevent the threats. She is especially interested in identifying vulnerabilities pertinent in Big, Open, and Linked Data and providing insights for business and individual decision-making. Her research is published in various international journals and conferences. Prior to pursuing doctoral degree, Syed worked as an IT consultant at Sapient Corporation and Mahindra British Telecom. She has consulting experience at several companies including AT&T, British Telecom, Cisco Systems, Kaiser Permanente, among others spanning across the United States, United Kingdom, and India.
